Cruising with Holland America

The Alaska cruise was our second cruise with Noordam and our seventh cruise with Holland America. Several of the crew members remembered us from the previous cruise with Noordam in February, some even remembered our names. With over 1800 passengers that change out every 7 to 10 days, that is quite an achievement.

The dinner menus offered excellent choices for virtually every category of entrees, remarkable appetizers and to-die-for desserts. The shore excursions on both cruises were interesting, especially Alaska, as were those on our previous Holland America cruises, but definitely overpriced. In those ports of call where we chose not to participate in an excursion, we found many interesting things to see and do while there. We have taken HAL cruises ranging in length from 7 to 16 days in Europe, the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera and Alaska, and every one was exciting, adventurous and pleasant.
