Seabourn Odyssey was designed with 225 ocean-view suites, of which 90% have private verandas. Highlights of her accommodations are the exceptional Wintergarden Suites, which have a private glassed-in Solarium with a soaking tub and a lounging bed. This suite also features a veranda that is bowed out, giving wonderful views along the side of the ship. The Signature Suites have over 900 square feet of inside space and a spectacular wrap-around veranda. The island’s capital, Bridgetown, is one of the Caribbean's major free ports, bustling with activity. Trafalgar Square features the monument to Horatio Nelson. Facing the square are handsome structures of the House of Assembly and the Legislative buildings. George Washington worshipped at St. Michael’s Cathedral during the only trip he made outside of the United States. Housed in former British military prison buildings, the Barbados Museum is divided into various galleries that feature exhibits depicting the history of Barbados from the pre-Columbian period to modern times.
Built in 1816, Gun Hill Signal Station is the finest of several signal stations on the island. The white limestone lion behind the garrison is a well-known landmark. Barbados boasts excellent golf courses. A wide range of watersports is available at hotels and special watersports centers.

Basse Terre, Guadeloupe

Basse-Terre is Guadeloupe's capital and more scenic of the country's main butterfly shaped island. Visitors can travel along the coasts or into the national park, an ecological spread covering one-fifth of Guadeloupe's total terrain. The park has a lush rain forest, a sparkling waterfall and pond, and a zoo and botanical garden. It also has a rum museum and working sugar factory. There are miles of white-sand beaches, and offshore Pigeon Island is suitable for diving. From Basse-Terre there are great views of La Soufriere, a dormant volcano located seven miles away. For active visitors, Guadeloupe offers practically every sport imaginable, including golf, tennis, squash, biking, hiking horseback riding, scuba diving, sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, deep-sea fishing, water skiing, yachting and plenty of spectator sports. Those who love to party will find nightclubs and discos in most large hotels and the island's casinos. Guadeloupe is called one of the culinary capitals of the Caribbean.

Charlestown is a Caribbean town with remnants of the Colonial era. It’s the capital of the island of Nevis of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. The town was developed as early as the 17th century by the British building Fort Charles and mounting 26 cannons to protect its harbor. The British had a lucrative sugar trade much profitable than that of North America. Historical figure Anthony Hamilton, the first US Secretary of Treasury was born and raised in Charlestown. 



Travelers visiting Charlestown can tour the Nelson Museum, Philatelic Bureau or Museum of Nevis History. Visitors can either horseback ride by the beach or relax by it under the Caribbean sun!

Set in a large bay on the leeward side of the island looking out onto the Caribbean sea, Fort de France became the capital of Martinique when St Pierre was wiped out by the eruption of the volcano Montagne Pelée in 1902.

The town has mushroomed from less than 10,000 inhabitants at the time of the eruption to its current level of nearly 100,000 people. The historical centre grew around the strategic point of the Fort Saint Louis, which was first established in 1638. There are numerous cultural and historical places of interest in Fort-de-France, as well as a wide choice of quality shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, selling French and Creole products. English is widely spoken and understood, and US Dollars are accepted in most outlets.

A lively blend of French and English cultures, St. George's has steep hills to climb, spectacular views to photograph and a rum distillery to tour. St George's has one of the prettiest harbour settings in the Caribbean. Tourist infrastructure is still generally small-scale and locally owned and offers a good balance between comfort and price, making Grenada a great getaway for those who want to avoid the resort experience.
