Seabourn: Seabourn Sojourn

10-night Caribbean Landfalls Cruise from $3699

EXCLUSIVE AMENITIES (per couple):

  • $300 Shipboard Credit

Seabourn Sojourn enchants her guests with an array of public areas scaled to encourage a relaxed sociability. One of the most unique features of Seabourn Sojourn is Seabourn Square, an ingenious “living room” that replaces the traditional cruise ship lobby with a welcoming lounge filled with easy chairs, sofas and cocktail tables. An enclave in its center houses knowledgeable concierges, ready to assist all guests. The Spa at Seabourn is the largest on any ultra-luxury ship, its 11,400-square-feet encompassing indoor and outdoor space over two decks. A variety of open terraces offer places to gather with a few friends or spend an isolated hour with a book. Seabourn Sojourn features six whirlpools and two swimming pools, including a “beach” style pool. The panoramic Observation Bar on Deck 10 offers panoramic views of the sea. The Club is a lively spot for dancing before and after dinner, while the larger Grand Salon is used for dancing as well as lectures, production vocal shows, cabaret performances and classical recitals.

The skyline of St. John's, the capital and largest city of Antigua and Barbuda, is dominated by the magnificently evocative white baroque towers of St. John's Cathedral. Built in 1845, the church is now in its third incarnation, as earthquakes in 1683 and in 1745 destroyed the previous structures. The towers are the first sight of Antigua for about half of the island's visitors each year, many of whom arrive by boat. St. John's is a lively hub for shopping and dining.

The town was developed as early as the 17th century by the British building Fort Charles and mounting 26 cannons to protect its harbor. The British had a lucrative sugar trade much profitable than that of North America. Historical figure Anthony Hamilton, the first US Secretary of Treasury was born and raised in Charlestown.
